Where Healing Happens Through Connection

Amor Fati

"A love of fate. A trust in the path written for us long before we understood it."

This land is a reminder that every road, every loss, every miracle, every delay, and every unexpected turn carried us exactly where we were meant to be.

Amor Fati is the quiet understanding that the Universe is always working in harmony with our highest good, even in seasons we do not yet understand. What was meant for us could never miss us. What passed us by was never ours to hold.

Here, beneath wide skies and open stars, we choose to welcome life fully: the joy and the hardship, the endings and the beginnings, the storms and the stillness. Not with resistance, but with reverence.

This ranch stands as a sanctuary for trust, alignment, healing, and becoming, a place where souls can breathe deeply, reconnect with nature, and remember that destiny is not something to chase… but something already unfolding.

May all who enter here feel guided.
May they feel grounded.
May they remember that every step of their journey has meaning.
And may they leave knowing: GUS, God, Universe, Source, has been conspiring in their favor all along.”

Our Approach

Rooted in Natural Lifemanship

Amor Fati Ranch is guided by the principles of Natural Lifemanship, a trauma-informed, relationship-centered model built around the belief that healing happens through authentic connection.

The horse is not viewed as a tool, lesson, or obstacle to overcome. Instead, the horse becomes a relationship partner, one that mirrors what is happening internally and provides honest, immediate feedback that helps people better understand themselves and their interactions with others.

Everything offered at the ranch flows from this foundation:

  • Presence over productivity
  • Connection over control
  • Partnership over dominance
  • Curiosity over judgment
  • Trust over force
  • Healing through relationship

Whether someone is receiving bodywork for their horse, participating in a retreat, or simply spending time on the land, the goal is the same: to create opportunities for authentic connection with self, others, animals, and nature.

Meet Lauren

Founder & Lead Practitioner

Lauren’s journey with horses began long before Amor Fati Ranch ever existed. Growing up, horses represented freedom, connection, and a deep sense of belonging. While life led her toward a successful corporate career and the rewarding experience of raising four sons, the dream of immersing herself fully in the equine world remained quietly present.

As her children grew and began building lives of their own, Lauren found her way back to horses through Natural Lifemanship®, a relationship-based approach that emphasizes trust, connection, consent, and authentic partnership. She became certified in Natural Lifemanship in 2022, an experience that profoundly shaped her understanding of both horses and human relationships.

Through her volunteer work with an equine rescue, Lauren adopted her first foal, Luna, and later welcomed Amor into her life. Amor’s presence, and the profound loss of her in 2025, became an important chapter in Lauren’s journey, deepening her appreciation for the lessons horses teach us about love, trust, resilience, and healing.

Today, Lauren combines her background in leadership, her certifications in Natural Lifemanship, Reiki, and Equine Cryotherapy, with a lifelong passion for helping others reconnect with themselves through meaningful experiences with horses and nature.

At the heart of everything Lauren does is a simple belief: to leave people better than she found them.

Meet Brittany

Co-Founder & Partner

Brittany moved to Austin in 2016. During her years working in car sales, she started spending her days off at Maverick Horseback Riding. What began as a way to decompress turned into something she kept coming back to.

Being around horses was therapeutic in a way that was hard to put into words. They’re present, grounding, and honest. For Brittany it became a true mind and body experience, and over time that connection deepened into a genuine passion.

That passion eventually pointed toward something bigger.

Today, Brittany serves as a Director of Sales for a professional services firm supporting nonprofits, spending her career helping mission-driven organizations create meaningful impact. Her work is rooted in relationship-building, empathy, and helping others move toward their goals.

Nearly a decade ago she met Lauren at a country dance hall in Austin, and the two discovered a shared dream: a place where people could reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with what matters most. Amor Fati Ranch is that place.

Outside the ranch, Brittany stays active through strength training and CrossFit, loves to travel, and cares deeply for the animals in her life.

Her hope is that every person who visits feels seen, supported, and a little more at home in themselves.
